Hi Guys,

I recently bought a 2003 A6 without the owners manual. I've been trying to set the drivers seat using the memory button and the 3 option buttons, but with no luck.

Could someone please come to my aid and tell me the proper procedure for saving the seat options into memory?

Thanks
Eric

hold the hold button at the same time you hold the memory and then the # button. it works for my 01 a6. you should look into getting a manual, it will help you with everything concerning the car, and probably tell you some things you never knew existed with it.

Before you buy a manual, take a look in the storage compartment located underneath the steering wheel. (I had to ask the PO where the manual was located, I never would have looked there!) You can buy the owner's manual for about $15.00 from the VW-Audi publications website http://www.audi.ddsltd.com

Good luck.

The following directions are right from my manual, hope it helps.

1 Stop button depressed
2 Adjust drivers seat
3 Adjust outside mirrors
4 Adjust steering column (if available)
5 Press M button and hold. At the same time press one of the three numbered recall buttons for atleast 1 second.
6 Release the M the recall button
The positions are now assigned to that paricular recall button and stored in the memory.

There is also a shelf under the jack (in the left rear quarterpanel). I keep my manual there.

Thanks guys for your much needed help . And i will have to purchase the manual as its not in any of the cars interior panels. The ebay price sounds very reasonable, i think ill purchase it from there. Thanks again thetryal, ppgoal, AQ6, alfisch91 and jtehan. Your inputs were very much appreciated.
