Default Any one painted their grill surround?

I'm thinking about painting the chrome grill surround and license plate filler cover instead of paying $200+ for a black surround, grille and black plate filler. Has anyone else done this? What paint finish did you use and please post a picture if you've done this. I don't see the difference between the OEM grill and S-Line grill, so is there any need to repaint the grill also?

Catch up with Audinam. He is the only one that I'm aware of.

Cheers!

Here's what i did. i bought some Hi-Gloss automotive acrylic spray paint for cars, $5.00, i didn't even take apart the grill, i just taped everything up around it with newpapers, spray a couple times on the side to know how the spray paint is, paint it with a few light coats, don't paint it with one thick coat or else it'll drip, let it dry for 10 minutes between coats. As for the Lic Plate filler, you can take apart the chrome lines so you don't have to tape up the filler itself. and if you miss a corner spot, just spray directly only a q-tip and rub it in. hope this will help you if you're planning on painting it yourself. it's better to pay 5 bucks instead of 130 bucks for the filler.
