Default Thrashed my Fuzions

Okay, I did my first day at a road coarse and it was awsome. I had bought some new Fuzion ZRi's like a week before going up there. Well after a day beating on them I'm impressed with they're traction but really worried about how bad they look. For lack of a better word the tread looks like the surface of a sponge. Is that normal? Any guesses on how much life I stripped off of them. On the bright side they are pretty cheap tires at $85ea. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
