Default Starting car - mysterious hazard light action

Has anyone else started their A3, and for the first 3 minutes of it running, the hazard lights flash? It happened yesterday. Even after I turned off the car and started it up again, the hazards flashed without the switch being pushed. Pushing the switch on and off had no effect on turning off the lights.

Then, after 3 or so minutes of driving, the hazards were done doing their thing.

Anyone else experience this one?

It sounds like the alarm may have been activated.
