Default No block heater???

What the heck? 2000 a6 4.2 doesnt have a block heater? We are starting to get some colder weather in Alberta now and I looked for my block heater and couldn't locate it. Is it true...but.....No block heater? Surely I just can't find the plug. We get some -40 C here and a block heater is a must. Someone please fill me in. Thx

Good question....If it turns out you don't (consult owners manual, or call dealer) you can look into aftermarket heating options. They are silicone pads that wrap around the block or the oil pan (whateverneeds heat) and plugs into 120 v AC. Checkout htis link: http://www.etipinc.com/universal.asp

It might be an option with the cold weather pkg.
Contact your local dealer.
