lol... All this attention for a stationwagon??? Don't get me wrong, mates, the numbers and specs are trully awesome, but in a wagon???

Is this the man's answer to being a soccer mom or something? What's next? They drop the V10 into a minivan??? lol

That's exactly why I love the um.. AVANT (don't say wagon, it makes me cringe) haha

Picture this, you're driving down the road, and a "wagon" pulls up and when you both mash the gas, you lose terribly to the grocery getter. I love it. The Avants are so stealthy.

I love the idea of it.

i.e.
Audi RS4 Avants - both generations
Audi RS6 Avants - both generations
Audi S4 Avants - All generations
Dodge Magnum SRT-8
Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon
Vovlo 850R Estate
Volvo V70R
BMW M5 Touring - all Generations
Mercedes E63 AMG Estate

Any of you guys OLD enough to remember the AMG Hammer?

Pretty sweet car. Can't wait to see what they are gonna ask for this one. Probably too high which stinks.

that car isnt aimed at any joe shmoe. 40's+ with lots of money. Too high isnt high enough for that market.

Seems a bit odd that Audi has gone away from the turbos for the S4 and inparticular the RS4 - now the RS6 has turbo chargers?

Any way it will be kicking the M5's ass, the M5 is getting old now, maybe they will update it with more power?

They moved away because of their chief engineer. To my knowledge he doesnt work with the company any longer

Thought this would be a good place to post this...

We recently reported that leaked vehicle chassis codes for the new Audi RS6 specced the output from its twin-turbo V10 engine at 571hp (426kW). Recent information from a source at Audi, however, has put this figure in doubt. The reliable source claims that the 571hp will only be the specified figure Audi will market the car with. True output will be upwards of 600hp, with 610hp (455kW) pegged as the most likely figure. It looks like Audi is taking no chances with the ultimate “wolf in sheep’s clothing” model and even BMW’s excellent V10 motor will struggle to compete with this kind of power output. To give you an idea of just how high this figure is, the RS6 will churn out more horses than the Corvette Z06, BMW M6, Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, Ferrari F430 Scuderia, Aston Martin DBS, Porsche 911 GT2, and even Mercedes’ epic bi-turbo V12 CL65 AMG.
While we’re always happy to see manufacturers pushing the limit, surely there comes a time when outright power figures get out of control. The previous RS6 wasn’t a slow car by any stretch of the imagination, but the new model will likely become the most practical supercar ever made. At least owners will have a full-time AWD system to help keep them out of trouble.

I guess if you really want an RS6 Avant, you could go to Germany buy it, then ship it back to the states.

Cheers,
JJ
