RE: Exhaust leak - 11/18/2006 2:35:09 PM    schmalet   Posts: 13 Joined: 11/14/2006 Status: offline the best way to check for a exhaust leak like that is to have the engine cold and feel around the manifold turbo etc for exhaust coming out before the exhaust gets to hot. If you have an longitudinal engine the exhaust runs down the passenger side btw, if the noise is definitely drivers side, then I would look for a boost leak. that would cause sputtering.
