Hello everyone I am currently building an audi 2 liter motor for my 4 cyl race car and I ran into a little prob hopping someone here can help or direct me to were i can get some. I purchased anew set of rings from audi and like an idiot when i took the old rings off I didnt pay attention to if there was a difference in the rings now I have one ring with a beveled step on it and one that is a solid rectangle. I have been told by some people that the stepped ring goes in the top and by some people that the rectangle one goes on the top.
Please if anyone can give me a deffinate answer that would be great.
It dosnt make any mention of it in the service manual.
