As you can read from my previous posts, I bought a 00 A6 2.7T 6spd, 53k miles 8 ago. 2 weeks ago the "check engine light" came on. Same day, I scheduled an appointment with Audi to check it out and have 2 recalls done ( head light wire harness & control arm check) The CEL light came on twice and both times it went out the following day.The car is out of warranty, however I suspect the MAF sensor (which has the extended warranty to 7yrs/70000k miles) to be defect otherwise the CEL woudn't turn off that easily.

Anyway, I think this a good opportunity to ask questions and ask for pricing quotes on parts and labor:
