Default Another First Impressions thread

My A3 has arrived!! What are car! Amazing to drive! Plenty of bells and whistles. It's everything I was hoping for in a new car, after driving an 8 year old Honda Accord for 3 years.

I was surprised by a few things that I didn't know I was getting. The "computer" with two different sets of trip info and the controls on the blinker stalk are nice. As are the cargo net and bag hooks under the back deck lid. Stupid, simple practical things - but nice none-the-less.

I have barely had a chance yet to put this car through it's paces - tough to do that with the family in the car or on the traffic clogged commute this morning. But the potential is there... very easy to feel how much power and handling control are under the hood.

More soon.

Hey congrats and enjoy the car! [sm=happy046.gif]

My dealer called the other day and mine should be here in 10 to 12 days. [sm=smiley32.gif] That wasn't too bad of a wait. Unfortunately, I hit a f..king deer with the TT yesterday so it is now in the shop. [:@] Hopefully, it will be fixed in a few days so I can turn it in on the A3 when it arrives.

Wow! You've gone from an A4 to a TT and now an A3. Quite a range. Too bad about the deer.

Hope your A3 arrives soon!

Better then a encountering a Moose! I don't think there is a Audi made that would survive that!

I dont think any car would handle any animal for that matter.

If you dont have a good stomach please dont venture below. People over at xterraownersclub.com used to post links to these pics whenever someone b****ched about hitting a deer and claiming no one had it worse

Yeah thats not for people who just ate lunch, what a mess!

I don't think is the first impression of an A3 that scalz wanted to discuss.

Thanks scalz, and I didn't mean to threadjack. [sm=imsorry.gif] My damage wasn't too bad at ~$2500 so it certainly wasn't as bad as the pictures above indicate. Yuck [sm=yikesomg.gif]

Enjoy your new ride and I sure wouldn't mind seeing some pics when you get a chance [sm=Flahssssss.gif] <hint><hint>

A3Night - did you HAVE to post the pics here?! A link with a gross-out warning would have been better.
