Would you Touch a 98 with 140k?
 

I am going to look at a 98 with 140k-supposedly super clean.
Supposedly all records of major service-Timing Chain,Water Pump,Trans,Suspension,etc.
CarFax is available.Supposedly all dealer serviced,The owner has been commuting in it-I know,that's what they all say.
Only asking a ridiculous $7,000.
Anyone out there running an A8 with that kind of mileage?

Send a PM to HansBlix. He's from that area, and he says he's test-driven most of teh D2's in that state. Tell him where it's located, what color, who's peddling it, and anything else you can think of to help him figR out if it's one he visited.

Also, PM TonyPai. H'es got, like 2-3 A8's. He can tell you EVERYtyhing to check, before you buy.

Lastly, fix your POLL. You've only got ONE option...[8D]

Hmm, got a link to this thing? Not a white one, is it? (I saw someone selling a white one from the roadside recently).

In regards to the poll, everything is relative with these cars, as I recall AWD was contemplating buying some $8700 2000 A8 as a parts car.

As more time passes, these cars are becoming a much harder sell, considering the expenses involved and how hard it is to get rid of them. In Europe 1994 A8s with a little over 100K miles can be had for like 4K euros.

That was tru, but I've got a new plan, now that my child-support payments are done. Gonna buy me another daily-driver... A nice DSM Mitsu, mebbee, or possibly that Mini I fount some guy sellin for an obscenely low, low, low price. I'm waiting on pix, then I'm'll schedule a test-drive... We'll see. If the Mini plays I may STILL try to find a nice D2 for parts. Strip it, slowly, as I need parts, then discard the carcass:D
