I'll have to see one in person to decide if I like it better without the extra two doors.

Here's some spy photos of the A5. You still can't really tell what the lines are going to be like, but I think it looks cool. http://tinyurl.com/ynb4ol

I will be surprised if they reallly offer this many power plants for the A5 - Power will come from a large choice of Audi engines. Talk is of various four cylinder fuel engines delivering between 170 and 220 HP, a V6 3.2 litre 255 HP, and a 350 HP V8. As for the Diesel, engines shall be 160 HP four cylinder and two six cylinder TDIs delivering 170 and 250 HP.

The article there also talks about how the A5 is larger than the A4 and closer to the size of the A6. It's supposed to be a different chassis than the A4 and has the engine mounted further back.

I love the looks of it. Can't wait for an RS5 version. Found a nice replacement for my 2004 GTO and a nice garage companion for the Wife's 2006 A4 Avant.

Is an A5 faster thanthe newTT? How close do they match up statistics wise?

Judging by the spy pics (which could be very misleading) it looks like a German version of the older Prelude. I like it alot. But at the same time I like the new TT alot (except for the interior).

Hey, just my opinion, I would have loved to see the A5 come out as a sports car rather than a 2 door A4. i think it would be the perfect car to compete with the 6 series BMW if they would have cranked up the class as well as the horse power. Idk alot about the A5, but from what I have heard about it it's going to be a sort of more mature A4, not quite the A6. Just my opinion.

If the A5 is going to be closer to the size of an A6, then it sounds more like a CL Mercedes, where it is a fairly big 2dr car. I would count on this being a nice looking highway cruiser more than a tight sports car.
