Hi ALL...
I'm "hosting" the 2006 AudiForums awards, over in teh Off-Topic section. Feel free to drop by and nominate the BEST and WORST of your sections regulars, or any of the OTHER sections, IF you're so inclined. http://www.audiforums.com/m_414343/tm.htm
Once the nominations are in (nominations END midnight, 25Dec2006) I'll be posting a POLL, for everyone to vote their conscience. On 31Dec06, at Midnight, the polling will end. Sometime during the 1st week 2007 I'll post up the WINNERS. Some have volunteered to "sponsor" a particular category, and provide a "trophy" of THEIR choosing, to be sent to the winner (of whatever category THEY chose to sponsor. DUH! Don't be slow, as my Niece would say.).
The categories are:
Best Mod/Admin
Best No0b, most helpful and STILL in 1st gear, or less (must have joined during CY 2006)
Worst Newb, least relevant posts and STILL in 1st gear, or less (must have joined during CY 2006)
Best A2'r (most helpful guy on THAT sections forum)
Best A3'r (most helpful guy on THAT sections forum)
Best A4'r (most helpful guy on THAT sections forum)
Best A6'r (most helpful guy on THAT sections forum)
Best A8'r (most helpful guy on THAT sections forum)
Best TT'r (most helpful on THAT sections forum)
Best Q7'r (most helpful on THAT sections forum)
Best S-er (most helpful guy on THAT sections forum)
Best RS-er (most helpful guy on THAT sections forum)
Best Allroad-er (most helpful guy on THAT sections forum)
Best Classic & Other (most helpful guy on THAT sections forum)
Best OT poster
Worst poster (overall, LEAST helpfull, ALL categories)
Biggest Post Whore
Member MOST likely to become the victum of a VTB campaign
Most Funnyiester poster
Best Thread Killer
Best thread (long-lasting)
Best Thread (shortie)
Member most likely to be elevated to MOD
Teh Wurst spelerer
Best AF Drunk poster
You are, of course, welcome to nominate as many, or as few people, as you like, in as many, or a few categories as you like.
This is ALL done in good fun, so feel free to have tons of fun at someone else's expense.
Although SOME are willing to provide (cheap, chintzy) gifts to the winners, the REAL reward will be the notoriety and adulation of your fellow AF-ers.
***Also, AGAIN this year, we'll be having the KOTH (King Of The Hill) posting contest to see which of the N.Y.E. losers can post CLOSEST to midnight, without going OVER, and claim KOTH for 2007. I'm not sure if last years winner plans to defend his crown, or not. Gud luk!***
