Default I just De-badged - REmoving STIcky Residue ??

I just debadged my a4 and now there is that sticky residue underneath. I tried using "bug and tar" remover but it is absolutely useless!

My girlfriend suggested using nail polish remover - would that work and would it damage the paint?

any other recommendations?

Don't know if you managed to get that residue off but another suggestion is a clay bar. Works great for sticky residue such as that, and bugs on the bumper. Won't damage the paint, and stay away from nail polish remover.

Haha yeah, Acetone. I work with that stuff and it stripped the paint right off a 55 gallon drum, clean down to the metal.

3m adhesive remover has worked for me on many things.
