Default AIRBOX COVER Question

helloo... i have a Audi A3 1.6 2006 8P modell... when i take the airbox cover off the sound of the car becomes amazing... i was wondering will it damage the engine or any other part of the car if i keep the cover off???

its best left on because you could get dust/dirt on the airflow sensor or even worse into the throttle body, fit a K&N filter

if i fit a K&N filter... do i still have to have the cover on ??? or will it just have the same sound with the cover on?

you would still need the cover on if you fit a flat panel K&N but you could mod it with a cone filter cold air induction kit and then you will keep the noise
