Default MAF Question

I put on a CAI on my 2.8 V6 A4 and when i started it,it was running rough at idle like it had ahuge cam in it.I checked for air leaks real quick but didnt find any.So i was wondering if the MAF sensor is trying to re-adjust its self.Could someone tell me what might be wrong.thank you.Dave

Most likely that's what is going on. The ECU knows an approximation of what to expect for airflow, so with a higher-flowing intake on the car, the ECU will be confused at first. Do some suburban driving (some stop and go, some cruising) for awhile, and I'd imagine that within a couple miles it'll start to smooth out as the ECU learns what's going on.

Mine actually did that, just as he described. After some driving around (an hour or so) it smoothed right out.
