My 80 has tempermental C/L. It works sometimes other times not for days or weeks. It may lock all doors but not open them, other times vice versa. Does anyone have any idea as to what the fault could be? I've checked the fuses and the basics but all fine. Although not a major problem it's annoying. Cheers for any help all. Chris.

If you stay behind the car and open the trunk, on the left side you'll see a cable. Locate the place where the cable makes thesmallest angle, and bend itcouple of times. If the car starts locking or unlocking or doing some other s**t like that you need to cut the outside of the cable and isolate all of the wires in it.
