Default 2001 A6 2.7T WHEEL FITTING

I just bought a 2001 a6 2.7t 6speed it has just got done a brand new clutck presure plate and flywheel the timeing belt was done at 80000miles and it now has 83000 i bought 19in adr wheels for it and want to put a 245-35-19 will this fit without rubbing and the wheels are 35mm offset the car is at stock height also what performance mods can i do as well i am already getting it reflashed with the giac x and new dv's do people do injectors on these cars or keep them stock i do want to keep the stock exhaust what else can i do for performance

You'll find people that will tell you that a 245 will fit, but it's risky. 235 is considered the max safe width. Also suggest you consider 17s or 18s given your performance mindedness. The extra weight of 19"s will buy you nothing other than loss of performance, ride quality, and risk of bent rims (particularly if you're in pothole country).

Coming from a guy with 19" ADR's on his car, I agree with Southboro. If you go the route that I did, you will have to be careful and get ready for fairly expensive tires. I use my 19's in the summer months only and have done so for 4 years and knock on wood, my wheels to this date are perfect, but it does come at a great degree of caution!

SouthboroAudiGuy is right - I just got a set of BBS RKs that came mounted with 245/45-17s. The driver's side tire rubs just a bit on the control arm. The tires are used, so I'll be changing them for a set of 235s soon.
