Default extended warranty?

I have a 2001 A8L with approx 33k miles. My factory warranty expires in a couple of months and I'm considering an extended warranty either thru the dealer or aftermarket. Are extended warranties worth it? Most are $2000-3000. Other than the timing belt, what are common problems for A8's? I plan on keeping the car for awhile but I will only put 10k miles per year.

Default RE: extended warranty?

The control arms and some minor dash electronics issues come up with some owners. Definitely worth the $ if you get the Audi offer. Isn't it transferable when you sell? That may be a good selling point at resale.
