Hi,

I've currently got an a A3 2.0TDI 56 plate and love it.
However, I've recently bought an auto dimming rear view mirror with the Home-link option built in. Having checked the original mirror fixings, the whole mirror appears to be fixed to the wind screen.

Does anyone know how to remove the original mirror?
On my old A3, which was a 53 plate, the mirror used to un-hook from the bracket.

Also, within the installation instructions, the wiring requires connecting to a +12 volt connection within the fuse box. Does anyone know which would be the best connection?
Bearing in mind all power to the mirror needs to be cut when the ignition is switched off.
