Just as the title suggests, what would be the best way to get a cable from the back of my stereo into the glove box?

I've fitted an ipod adapter cable into my CD changer port (with a little use of a hacksaw :S ) it works perfectly, letting me navigate songs from my ipod as I wanted to. I'd like to keep my ipod in my glovebox for now, hence the question, but I may one day decide to have a go of the iTray mod found here so I'd prefer to not drill unnecessary holes.

p.s if anyone is interested in the cable I used it can be found here only £31, it's pretty limited with no ipod charging and no stereo / steering wheel controls, but it did exactly what I wanted, and did it well!

When I recently rewired my whole car for a new stereo, I ran the patch cables, right door speaker wires, and rear speaker wires across behind the glovebox, and down the kick panel into the doorsill wells. The easiest way to do it is to (of course) remove your head unit, and drop the glovebox down as well. I didn't remove it completely, but I did drop the right side of it down. When you open the passenger door, there's a trim piece on the side of the dashboard (on the face of the dash that mates to the door when the door is closed - it looks like the fusebox cover on the driver's side. This just pops off, and you'll see two or three screws in there that hold the glovebox. Remove them and drop that side of the glovebox down. With the glovebox open and dropped down, you can see well enough to route a wire hanger across the dash behind the glovebox, and it will poke out into view when you look through the head unit opening in the dash. Grab it and pull it out far enough to electrical tape the iPod cable to it, and gently pull it across to where you want it. Since you said you may do an iPod tray later, just drop the cable into the glovebox over the top of the back wall of the box. You might want to secure it to the glovebox on the back with some tape or something so it doesn't fall back down behind the box, but that's really it. If you were not going to do a tray for the iPod, I'd say maybe drill a hole in the side of the glovebox so that you can run the cord through, but if you're considering a tray, it's probably best not to drill a permanent hole for a temporary use.
