hmm, dude. I just want to point out, a search function.
it was like talked about 1 trilion times.

in short, BOV is not for closed turbo systems. The ECU will think that the air that goes out the BOV would go into the engine, so it will add fuel, and boom black thick smoke trail.
is this enough info?

ok, how about the right answer

a bov can be used on our car, but your car will perform like poo, kind of like what he said
but if you get a recirculation kit, it will make it act like a dv, which is what our cars use

but since you seem new here and all of us once were here is something that will help, also in my sig

umm,... why do people make turbonators, or toyota corollas, because idiots or poeple with money and no brains will say, O look what they are selling, if they say its good, then it must be true.

If people make it, people will buy it. its that simple.

that is why you come to the forums and ask questions so you don't buy something stupid.

i hate to break it to you guys but not all bovs are bad. The hks ssqv works very well with a maf. The dual port system works very well with the 1.8t and doesnt cause a cel or richness between shifts. THere has be people running them for years and thousands of miles without any complaints. Most sell them after awhile because they outgrow the sound.

just cause it dosnt blow up as soon as they put it on dosnt mean its not bad for your car

the ssqv bov is still a bov it just works differently. it is hooked to the gas pedal to release pressure there for every time you let off the gas you will run rich. I wish you people would drop the bov thing. unless you get tunning to run maf less its bad. END OF STORY!!

if it was bad you would see some sort of negative effects, ie stalling, stuttering, bad mpg, died cats, something. But what has been shown to work means it works (maybe not for everyone but most). Plus there are a handful of turbo cars running mafs and bovs from nissian, mazda, and mitsu.

again just cause it dosnt blow your engine up as soon as you crank it dosnt mean its not bad. It will cause you to run rich which is bad. it WILL DESTROY YOUR ENGINE

True, some will (if you dont stall or go into limp first)but there are a few, yes few that are designed to work with mafs and work well. But yes a dv is mainly a plug and play install.
