Default North Vs South Cali - gtg planning phase

Ok... so we've all been talking about a possible
Norcal meets Socal AF event...
why dont we get the ball rolling & see what ideas are out there...

I was thinking towards the end of March
maybe a drive up Sat & meet, drive home Sun event...

- like 24th & 25th or 31st & 1st

currently pending - San Louis Obispo.
Stay tuned for more info re: lodging etc.

lets get some ideas going...

All sounds good. I still vote for Hearst. There's plenty of lodging and some nice twisties nearby

Well from my experience, Solvang's fun - but rather crowded most weekends. Morro Bay about the same - unless you meet in the Safeway or Albertson parking lot. Hearst Castle has a huge parking lot to meet on - but pretty far removed from anything else.

Good alternative is Cayucos (15 miles north of Morro Bay). Nice long main road for parking - nice little local bar there as well... very small town. Just a thought.

I like the Hearst Castle idea, but what would we do for food and such? Probably need a place with good lodging, a nice scenic roadway, food options, and possible entertainment for the non-Audi enthusiasts who might be tagging along.

Anyone live in these areas and want to help make arrangements?

agreed...
we need something for the non-audi "civilians"
ie; malls, food options, malls, plaza's, maybe malls?

Cayucos have any local shopping venues?

Hey Panda Ex., All you have to do is thak the 101 N to Santa Barbara, then stay on the 101 N and you will hit beualton and that's it. I can meet some peeps in Santa Barbara and guide anyone up. Hell yea That's in my neck of the Woods!! Can wait It'll be my first!!

SLO is kinda in the middle. Hearst Castle is doable, but there isn't much out there besides the huge parking lot, which will be pretty full in the spring/summer months... kinda in the middle nowhere. Nothing in Cayucos. I was down there this past summer, and there's not much out that way. My vote is for SLO.
