License Plate Bracket for 2005

Hi! I'm new to the forum and have a basic question. I just got my 2005 A8L and it doesn't have the front license plate bracket, which is required in IL. The dealer wants $140, which seems way out of line. I can't find any help on the internet and have heard it's not "do it yourself" because of the airbag sensors. Any ideas welcome!

Well some other options is buying some kind of universal bracket, but that would still require drilling im sure...

you cant put you rlicense plate under the windshield on the dash??
