Does anyone know if 245/40/18 tire will fit on my A6?

I think the offset is +35

It's pushing it. You'll find plenty of people who will tell you that you can do it, but for every one, you'll also find somebody that will tell you they had rubbing. 235 is the widest safe width for the C5 A6 when running an offset of 35.

I'm afully tempted, I found a pair of 245/40/18 for $110 and they are both matched with 90% tread remaining.

I just put these rs4 replicas on today and two of them are at the wear marks, and need balancing so I would rather put some new tires on them if I can find some for a good price...
