Default 2005 A6 Brake Noise

Has anyone experienced the thumping noise associated with the brakes on the A6 self adjusting. It is getting so loud that a passenger asked if someone was in the trunk. The dealership says this is normal, I have my doubts. I am about ready to go out of warrenty and am affraid of a big bill to repair this when it goes. The front pads and rotors have been replaced, pads on warrenty and rotors had to buy.

I also have a 2005 A6. My brakes squeek a little.....No thumping though. Dealer said it is normal, even for an A8, which is hard to believe. I do get a bit of thumping assosciated with the quatro when turning uphill.

I get the self-adjusting vibration first thing in the morning. After one or two taps on the brakes it goes away.
