Default Sport suspension and new springs

I have a 2001 A4 1.8T with sport suspension. It has a low effect but has room to go lower as some of you might think the same with their cars. I want to buy new springs to make it lower, coilovers are out of the question financially. Do the numbers on brand web sites (1.5F- 1.3R) apply to an A4 with stock suspension or the sprot suspension for the years?? My concern is I dont want to buy springs and it ends up the same height as the sport suspension sold with some Audi's. Does anyone have suggestions on brands to buy with a great look to the car after???

The numbers apply to stock springs. Just putting in lowering springs will only get you .75" or so at best. Try to find a good used coilover set on Ebay or this forum. If it has less than 10-20K miles on it I wouldn't worry, they're usually Koni or Bilstein innards.

I think your sports package lowers your car .75' .So if you get sport springs(H&R , Nuespeed) your going to get a .5' - .75' drop lower than Audi sports package. If you want to go much lower you'll need race springs for about another 1.0' drop.
