Whats up with the gt2x or whatever its called its about $1200 and says i can get 300hp depending on mods. DO you guys think I could get that if i get the ATP garret turbo kit, ecu chip and the larger injectors? what do you think? Any other bolt on turbo suggestions?

Default RE: which turbo to buy?

the gt2x is smaller than a gt25 which as about the same size as a 225 TT ko4-2x turbo. ATP over inflates all of there claims on their website. From the dynos i have seen people have made about the same amount of power with a ko4-2x but have way more torque. Plus the fueling and tuning atp sends you is so bad its unreal. Also other people have had problem getting their cars to run well on the gt2x (transverse guys) while the a4 guys have had better results. A much better option would be to get the regular ATP hardware kit (real manifold with a real turbo) and get tuning from either revo, unitronics, or giac (new files). Cost will be a little more but you will have far better gains and spool will be atleast 300-500 faster with a normal t3 or t25 housing.

Default RE: which turbo to buy?

It all depends, how much money are you willing to spend and how much HP do you want?
