Well we went for a drive , me and some of the audi club today and found us a guy willing to do some starts in his stock 335i......0-100klm and 0-200klm. 2 x each against him 4-0 roflm so its official stock RS4 sedan owns stock335i coupe specially after 100klm that monster pulls hard, had to back off hard at 200, had heaps of peddle to go.. .....now of course in the usa they r chipping faster than mac donalds and going mod crazy....so hurry up MTM and get that freeking supacharger ready to ship... but head to head stock RS4 wins ....eassyyyy Read it and weep.....335i owners hahah
i also swapped rides with my palfor an hour, he has the old RS4 TwinTurbo stage2 ,460hp ish now thats an RS4 turboed and chipped the 335i will never catch no matter what those yankie chippers do. they seem to overlook that car .........

Have never driven an RS4, but I must say the 335i is a nice car. Not really a fair comparo to an RS4, but I know it wasn't supposed to be. Anyway, the e92 M3 coming out is going to make things interesting.
I am contemplating the RS4 or holding out a bit longer for the new M3. Good to know the RS4 is quicker than the 335. Although, I am not surprised. I have found the 335's to be a fairly easy to take down with ease. Then again, my car isn't completely stock.

Yeah you can chip a rs6 now and get over 500hp. with exhaust, upgrade the turbos, and some minor things and 600hp is cake. Just make sure you have the 6 speed. The autos cant handle the power from what i heard. but impossible to find six speed. I have only ever heard of one.
the 335 is a 300HP car right? a stock S4 should still be able to run that car, an RS4 is just murder
335i is 300hp at the wheels as dynoed by a previous BMW magazine during the launch, which equates to around 330 hp or so at the crank. Hits peak boost at 1300 rpm, so I doubt a regular S4 could keep up.

The new RS6 will be a twin turbo V-10 gallardo motor. Do you remember what Toyota did with the Turbo Supras? Well double the torque and there you are. A Z06 will have a hard time keeping up, but imagine with a new CPU program (if you really want that) which would be a nightmare!!!!

ummmm... i don't think the new RS6 is bi-turbo.... i believe is the 5-litre V10 NA.... and good luck tuning that engine with bi-turbo... the compression ratio is probably through the roof..... sure would be bad ass though.....
Our mighty RS4 might have some competition with the E92 M3 apparently its lighter and making 425hp form BMWs V8. i love it when my 2 favorite car comapany fight for my liking. go RS4 all the way though
To you 335i bashers, allow me to clarify a few things:
BMW 335i Sedan MSRP: $40,800 (starting) - with PROcede $42,100. Audi RS4 MSRP: $66,000 Difference: $25,200; with PROcede $23,900
Winner: BMW
Performance BMW 335i Our 335i similarly scalded the quarter-mile in 13.3 seconds at 105.9 mph. For comparison, our 2005 M3 Competition Package used up 5.5 seconds getting to 60 and finished the quarter-mile in 13.7 seconds at 105.4 mph — close, but still a rearview-mirror performance. We almost beat the all-powerful 2007 Audi RS4, too. Despite a 120-horsepower advantage and all-wheel-drive launch superiority, it just nicked our 335i's 0-60 and quarter-mile times by a paltry 0.1 second each. http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Drives/FullTests/articleId=117669
2007 Audi RS4 A 4.2-liter V8 engine powers the Audi RS 4. Equipped with direct fuel injection and sporting a 12.5:1 compression ratio, this powerhouse makes 420 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed manual gearbox (the only transmission offered) sends the power to all four wheels through Audi's quattro all-wheel-drive system, which has a 40/60 front-to-rear power split in this application. During instrumented testing conducted by Inside Line, an RS 4 shot to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and ran the quarter-mile in 13.2 seconds at nearly 107 mph. http://www.edmunds.com/audi/rs4/2007/review.html
Winner: RS4 (by .01 seconds on 0-60 and 1/4 mile - does this deserve paying $25,000 more for a .01 second improvement...wait there's more)
This incendiary performance puts the cooking 335i in the same league as dedicated performance pieces like the Audi RS 4 and the Mitsubishi Evo IX — cars that don't come close to offering the Bimmer's stealth factor.
Sixty mph arrives in 4.6 seconds and the quarter-mile flashes by in 13.0 seconds at 109 mph, 0.3 second quicker than the last stock 335i with an automatic transmission that we tested. And that's quicker than any stock Evo or Audi RS 4 we've ever tested.

LOL.... this guys is funny.....
well done.... but most people don't care about what everyone else thinks... and what's rated what... they love there AUDI !!! (for reasons only a true audi enthusiest would know)..... i hope your not policing around all the forums defending BMW (which i have absolutely nothing against...i used to drive a 99 M coupe....great car!) because you would just be waisting your time... and you seem smarter than that....
I think bimmers are great too. But Just cant get over how plain the dials are. I just think they are old and in my opinion, think the dials are ugly. Rest of car is awesome. the new 3 series is sweet, but i will stick with the audi. gotta remember, more power loss in a awd car versus a rwd.
I have driven the 335i before buying my S4. It's a great car and def feels under rated. Now, that said, it's certainly not going to come close to the RS4. BMW claims 5.5 seconds and I was able to hit 5s, but no matter how much I slammed those gears, I could not get below 5s. I can, however, get the same numbers in my S4 as I can in the 335i. Honestly, I dunno how these guys are getting numbers close to the RS4.
Finally, what does price have to do with it? THe BMW skimps on ALOT of things, including poorly designed interiors, and the cost is far less to make a RWD car than an AWD car, one that I can drive in the snow and accelerate hard in the rain. Usefull things here in Pa. These are all reasons I passed on the 335i. Everyone and their brother will have one in the next year too.
I am sure if Audi made a RWD car and mediocre interiors, they could match BMW's price.
We have an RS4 and while it is faster, the 335 is no joke.
If we didn't have something called snow, I'd have opted for the lighter 335 and put the $25k towards a used Elise.
But in low-traction conditions, good luck with RWD and hooking up.
IMHO, the RS4 is NOT a bargain... the 335xi can do 90% of what the RS4 can do for a lot less money. But then again, a $300 Tag Heuer can do pretty much everything my Breitling can... but which one is on my wrist?
Anyone trying to make a "worth it?" comparison is kind of missing the point... is a $500 single malt "worth it?" You can get just as buzzed on good old JD.
I love our RS4. But I have no delusions that it was somehow a "good bargain."

I def agree with jetspeed333, you cant just watlz in here with a bunch of spec's on a beamer and expect someone too change brands. Audi is what we like and beamer is what you like. That would be like us telling you too switch over. I love audi and plan on buying another one and after that another one and so on. It's basically like what sports team you like....and personally im just drawn too audi. Go AUDI ALL THE WAY.
