Default fuse blowing when put in reverse

Hi, I recently had my brother replace my ball joints and tie rod ends on my 1993 90. When they backed it off of the lift, all of the dash gauges (tach, speedo) and rear lights died when it was put in reverse. There seems to be a fuse blowing when it is put in reverse. Could it be a shorting wire in the trunk harness, or is there something that could have been bumped when they were working on the front end? Thanks for any help.

my guess would be something near the front end and not the back of the car, Most the wiring at the backof the carfor the reverse circuit is covered in loom and inside, vs in loom but exposed to engine heat and weather. I think your just going to have to follow the wiring to find the short, i'd start at the engine end

Turned out that the wires that run along the driver side of the trunk were broken and shorting out. Got them reconnected and taped and now is all good.
