I think you'd find plenty of room. I am 6'2 and one of the [many] reasons I decided on an A6 was the room I found that I couldn't find in a lot of other sedans.

I know a few tall people who drive A6 sedans and they don't have any complaints. Your best bet is to go drive one and see if you can get it to a good position for yourself.

I'm 6'4" and about 230.  The car has plenty of room and mine has the sport seats that are bit tighter laterally with the added side bolsters.  With my seat position there is still adequate room for a passenger behind the driver's seat.

6'4" 200 lbs, plenty of room for me, main reason I went for an a6 instead of an s4.

6'2", 280lbs

I never considered the A6 until after i test drove a BMW 325xi and an Infinity G35x.  Both were nice cars, but after the test drive, I got back into my 02 Dodge stratus and realised how uncomfortable they were.  I actually liked my stratus better, and i decided i wasn't gonna drop $20k on a car then get into a $5k car and like it better.  I started looking at Audis for the midsize of the A6 and affordabitity.  On the first test drive, I fell in love.  TONS of room in comparison to the others i tested.  I am constantly impressed about the legroom with the seats all the way back, and there is even plenty of room in the back seat (not to mention you could get a few bodies in the trunk too).  I bought an 02 A6 4.2 last week, and it is just an absolutly wonderful car.  I don't think i could find something to make me more happy than this one does.

I'd say just go test drive one.  That sold me on the anti-closterphobic features alone, i think you'll be satisfied.

All you need is an A4 with a sunroof and you'll be fine.

I'm 6'6" and 215#.  The A6 fits great.  I have a Saab 9-5 and that fits just as well.  The '07 Carrera has even more leg room.

Just so you know, it fits short people too, as long as you bring the seat all the way up and sit on a Manhattan phone book.  5'6" 160lbs and need to lose weight.

I'm more of a volleyball person myself but I nominate someone taller than me to play center in either case haha.

the difference in interior room is the reason i went with the a6 rather than the a4.

my bro-in-law is 6' 10" and about 450-500 lbs. He fit fairly comfortably in the passenger seat, but I am not so sure about the driver's seat.

He was a top center coming out of HS and did play college ball, but he's a bit out of shape at this time. But, if he could play "by association" on the b-ball team, he could be center!

The only complaint is that there isn't enough room for "happy crotch" if ya know what I mean.
