First off, I'm a first time poster. I apologize if this question has been asked before. I recently bought a 2003 RS6 to replace a 1999 Porsche 911 that I recently sold. We have a 11 month old and wanted a sports car that would accomodate a child seat. The RS6 has definitely fit the bill.
Here's the question I have. Yesterday while driving I hit a shallow pothole at about 40 mph. This caused a bulge on the sidewall of the tire. I have to replace the tire, but the local tire place is telling me that I can't just replace the two front tires, and I should replace all four at once. They are telling me that it could harm theall wheel drive systemif the front tires tread does not match the rear. Is this true or are they trying to sell me more tires? Thanks in advance and I look forward to participating in the forum!
