You might not have you window rolled up all the way or sun roof closed. Worst situation you got a mouse running around in there setting it off.

Try turning off the interior monitoring, it is the switch on the lower b pillar on an A6 i think.
It should look like a car with radar waves above it or some crap like that.
It has to be pushed everytime you turn the key off.

I had the same thing with my a6............ i ended up taking it to audi and gave them£500 for the pleasure....It turned out to be the sensor in the drivers door lock and the main alarm unit itself........

Yeah that can do it also, every door lock/latch has its own input to the security system and if it malfunctions the alarm could go haywire.

I don't know if it is the same with your year/model, but I have a '01 A4 Avante that had the same thing. Brought it to the dealer and turns out there is a sensitivity adjustment that can be made - or so they told me. Whatever they did it fixed the problem and for $0!!! I like that.

Well mine is a 2001 a6 avant..... And they never said anything like that to me...... Suppose they just wanted my money ... So i just had to rob several old ladies to pay for it to get my car back ( joke...........)
