Default Soften Ride for 07 A6 4.2 S-Line?

I recently purchased an 07 A6 4.2 S-line and the ride is a little too firm for my spouse.
I really do not want to alter the appearance of the vehicleand I was hoping to avoid purchasingstock parts for a regular A6 from the dealer...does anyone know what springs, shocks/struts, etc are on my vehicle? I called both my dealer and AudiUSA and they did not have an idea.

I was hoping to purchase something aftermarket that would soften the ride without altering the appearance or handling too much. [Sincemost of the products I've seen appear to be designed to firm-up a stockride,I did not want to purchase something only to find out that (or something comparable) was already on my s-line].

What do you recommend I replace (springs only? dampers? shock/struts? upsizing tires by 1 size?) in order to soften the ride? I'm a novice at suspension so any thoughts would be much appreciated....
Mike

Default RE: Soften Ride for 07 A6 4.2 S-Line?

To anyone who is interested----it turns out that the dealer neglected to remove the shipping blocks/stopsfrom the struts and springs. Once they removed them, the ride was smoother....
