I have a question. I purchased an RS6 in March, and just took it on a long trip. For some reason, when I am going 80mph it feels like its 100mph. Forget about when I am going 100mph. Its crazy, my fiance' has an '06 A4 2.0T, and it is so comfortable at 80mph or 90mph. When I drive her car, I need to look down at the speedometer to control my speed. For some reason the RS6 feels unsafe at higher speeds. Has anyone had a similar experience. I previousy owned a 2003 Infiniti M45, and took it to 142mph on the turnpike with no problem. It seems like if I did the same with the RS6, I would feel like I am losing control.

You might have the speedometer checked. That car should dig down and hold on like no other. Perhaps its an issue in the springs, suspension, sways, steering, axel? Was it certified or overhauled? If all of these check out and you still don't like it...let me know. I might consider taking it off of your hands if you were interested.

Yea its certified for 2 more years, up to 100k miles. Its weird. I thought that maybe its the fact that I have a stiffer suspension, and low profile tires, compared to the standard 2.0T A4, which obviously is made more for comfort, also has a tighter cabin. So I guess that counts as well. The more I drive it though, the better it gets, so we'll see. Maybe I will take it to another Audi dealer, who may find something because the dealer that I took it to, was the one that sold it to me.

Thanks

The stiffer suspension gives it a smoother ride at higher speeds so it should ride better than the A4, but at lower speeds the A4 with ride better. Might be the difference in chassis size that you're not used to since it is bigger than the A4 and M45 I think. Never hurts to get it looked at.

might also check your tires for inflation and worn spots. Not implying you arn't steller in yor knowledge, but sometimes the best mechanics foget the most simple of solutions. Keep us informed as I am now curious. Contemplating such a purchase in a year.

Hey guys, I was finally able to test drive another RS6, and even though the sales/service managers that test drove my car told me that everything was fine, I was able to feel a difference with the other RS6. Then, they brought out the Audi RS6 specialist mechanic to prove me wrong, and he even felt the difference lol. He said that the engine needs a minor tunning, but he would need to keep the car for a week to run the tests because the engine is really complicated, and you have to troubleshoot everything. So I am taking it in on the 14th. He said that the reason why I feel the instability, is not the suspension, but just the feeling of the engine trying to hard. So hopefully everything turns out ok.

Question??? My friend has an '06 S4. Do you know what chip upgrades it to RS4 caliber, if any?
