Recenlty had the oil changed and dealership informed me I had over 2k of repairs to do, basically they want to do a tuneup since I've hit 80k miles. I also have a loose front/rear suspension rods which they tell me need to be replaced ASAP and at a cost of $650. I feel they are pretty high on the price, but I know nothing about cars...?

Also, anyone know of private mechanics (non-dealership)in Eastern Iowa, specifically Iowa City?

for 2k id look into buying an aftermarket warranty...they should take car of most of that...except the tune up
