My mechanic tried to hook up his diagnostic unit to my car a few days ago and the unit would not connect. What is the reason why the unit does not connect? We also tried another mechanic who has a different unit. Same issue. help help help

this depends on what diagnostic unit he was trying yo hook up ( 1999 was the change over to CAN ) so if he has the old OBDII system it wont work
