Well was fixing my rear driver side caliper. Broke the caliper carrirer as usual, becouse the whole pin got rusted inside and I could not take it out, tried to rotate it to free it, and boom, broke like peace of matchstick.

But thats not the problem, as it happened to me before, on the other side.

Problem is I cannot retract the piston back inside. I took it apart, and from the look of it, its simple. There is a screw inside and you rotate the piston to get it in. Well it only works half way through. After a bit, it doesnt want to go inside, and just rotates.

Help would be apriciated.
Question is: How do I retract the piston back inside so I could put new brake pads in?

I believe I have found the way to do it.
It has to be pushed and rotated simultaneously.

If to who actually needes to know how too. You need at least 4" C clamp, or better a 5" C clamp, and a pipe wrench.
To take out the piston when it is out of the car, press the hand break lever many times, till the piston becomes free enough, thn just rotate it and it will free out.
If you rebuilding it, or just replacing the rubber:
The gasket inside, is simple enought to replace, take out the old, lube the new one in DOT4 and put it in, make sure its sits nicly.
Lube inside a bit more with DOT4, not a lot, just to be wet

Then slide a new boot over the piston, throught the back. Slide the boot only half way, then pull the boot out. Now slide the boot into where it supose to be held in the caliper. Make sure it is sitting right.
Then start rotating the piston so it would catch the screw. Then it be hard to rotate, use pipe wrench, and start turning the piston, you will see it will go in. Make sure that you are only using the outside of the piston, and not the working side. It will go in a bit. Then use the clamp over the piston and the rear of the caliper and start compresing it. Put moderate amount of preasure, and start to rotate the piston too. Use the rotating side of the clamp on the piston. That way piston will rotate wihout clamp locking it.

You will need help here, some one needes to rotate, and someone needes to aply constant preasure on the piston. If you dont see it go in, apply more preasure.
And you done basically.
