Default 2001 A6Q 2.8 Gass milage dropping

Ok.. I am just starting to see an issue with gas mileage dropping. I was getting pretty go but now it seems to be dropping and my habits have not changed.. I commute 60+ miles each way to work mostly highway... so I think I should be on the better end of the deal. Just seems with my last couple fill ups I am not getting anywhere close to what I was... anywhere from 50-100 miles less per tank. I am not feeling a misfire in the engine but I am not sure when the plugs were changed last either. VAG-COM pulls no codes at the present time so I see no errors. I guess it is possible I could have a bad plug and am misfiring or late firing and this is causing more gas consumption but I am pretty sure I would feel it. Just looking for a place to start with this and see what is up.
