Default Alarm LED in Door

First post so Hi everyone...

I have a 2003 A4 1.8T

Wondered if anyone can help me answer this one, it's quite a minor mod but I'm wanting to replace the alarm LED on the door for a blue one - is there any voltage requirements or could I just stick any old LED in there?

Also how would I get to it - would it be removing the door card or just prize out the rubber surround of the existing one?

as far as i know you have to remove the whole door panel to get to it and any led intended for a alarm should work

Yeah, any LED should work, just don't mess up the anode(+) and cathode(-)

Na. pulling the door panel isn't a huge deal. Just get an LED that is the same diameter as the one you're replacing. LED's are soooo low current draw that it should make any difference what you get as long as you can get it to fit. Go to www.allelectronics.com for a huge LED selection.
