Default Warranty question

Is the flex pipe considerd a part of the cat? I need to replace the flex pipe and am at 78,000. Cat's covered until 80,000. Would really save me some $$ if it is covered. Not sure if the dealer would give me a runaround or not.

Check out a shop that does custom exhaust they can cut the flex out and replace it with a new one. Had mine done about a month ago and it cost me $45. Prices may vary but its a simple procedure.

Hmm... I went to Midas to have it looked at. They said take it to the dealer because it should be covered. Seems odd that they would pass up a job. And the guy there said the price would be in the hundreds [:'(]. I'll call Audi anyway, then shop around assuming it ain't covered.

Gracias
