Why is it so damn hard to find wiper blades for my car? The only place where they have them is the dealer at $45 for two blades. That is just stupid. Every auto parts store is baffled by this fact. I have tried Bosch 422A and while the replacement catalog says they should fit, there is no way they will go on, am I missing something here.

I also did a search here and some of the A4 owners have seen this problem but not A6 owners. Any help would be appreciated????

I have found blades for my car at Autozone and Advance. I believe our size is a 22" blade. I use a 20" to keep the blades off of a vinyl adhesive I have attached to the top of my windshield.

I have never had a paroblem!

OOOO

Thanks for the reply. I will check Advance and AutoZone on the web to see what they have.

Are you asking if there is a re-fill blade that fits the Audi arm or just a new arm with the blade in it?  If you are asking for just the blade, I agree.  The Audi arm has the big piece of plastic that the wind pushs against to keep the arm pushed against the window at high speeds. I personally find that big arm waving in front of your face kind of annoying.  One would think these are supposed to stay, if that's the case let me know where to find the re-fill blade because none of the chain stores in my area have them either.

I have added a pic of the arm and the blade. If there is a refill blade I am not aware of it. As mentioned I have tried Bosch 422A which is the icon blade but the mechanism for attaching to the arm is completely different from the stock hook-up. What am I missing here? can you just get the rubber blade part and replace that in the attachment part?

I have the same problem.  I have a 2003 A6 3.0 Quattro and the wiper blade / arm looks just like your picture.  The Bosch ICON does not work on this arm.   I also have the Bentley service manual and it shows the "traditional" hook arm, which my car does not have.

Thanks for the reply. The only solution was to buy the Audi stocked wiper blade. I did get a break on the price but it was not what I would consider a reasonable price for a wiper blade. I'm on my way tomorrow to have an axle boot replaced and just put on new tires all around, so guess we'll be keeping it for a while. I did go to Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires and replaced Goodyear's and the difference is tremendous, car is much quieter and smooth riding. Really changed the ride completely.
