its fake... ...the rs8 wheel in the last pic is photoshopped... everything is burned except for the wheel? hmm no .. also the smoke is photoshopped, if u notice the bottom right, the smoke mysteriously cant get over the guardrail, sure... somebody is trying real hard to make one of audis best look like its not german engineering, good try but winding road is just as reliable as those magazines that feature stories about the amazing batboy!

Actually, yeah. As you can clearly see this cutout, the rollcage in the Winding Road pics doesn't match up to anything here. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if the Winding Road guys were actually ex russian car designers and they are convinced that the Lada was the best car ever and they are devoting their lives to making everyone else look bad.

LOL, yeah they're probably still pining away at for the Zil limos and plotting out the demise of Maybach in their off time.

Hi Guys

Winding road guys or not, the same photos are all over the web, but check out the larger and more detailed photos on the following link, there you will see that the design of the rims are the same on each corner of the car at least.

http://www.worldcarfans.com/6070410.002/spy-photos-audi-rs-8-on-fire

The roll cage, it does notmatch anything on the real car (photo shown by CLX), correct, cause there is no roll cage in the standard car. This is common for car manufactures to build in roll cages in cars (prototypes)which are ment for serious trackuse, to protect the driver. The roll cage is clearly visibleon the photos showing the car from the side before itcourt fire. Remember, most of this car is build in Aluminium, Aluminium does not need that high temperaturesbefore itmelt, that is what happend here.

Concerning the smoke around the guardrail: Notice that there is a little wind from the righttowards the left of the photo (seen on the smoke which has raised and been carried toward left), thenconsider that the smoke carried toward the camara man (Mr. Lehmann) is not as warm as the smoke near the burning car meaning less updraft. Then try this little experiment next time you fire up your Weber charcoal firedBBQ, using only a little red glowingcharcoal in the middle, close the airwent in the bottom of the BBQ,add a few fress leaves or a little grass to the glowing coalwhich thenwill start smoking/steaming right away, if you thentry to blow air across the BBQ you will get the same effect at the rim of the BBQ from where you blow as you see at the guardrail, the photo is real!

Well, bottom line is that s*** happens with prototypes, and most likely we only see a fraction of what happens around tracks and hidden away roads. Nevertheless, Audi hasgot the "next" prototypeon the track, please check the following link:

http://www.caradvice.com.au/8152/audi-rs8-v10-spy-photos/

This really start to look like a prodution ready car now, and what a car it is. Check the following items compared with the "standard"R8:

- The lip along the side under the door (sort of RS detail)
- Only two but largerhorisontalfins at each cornerunderfore and rear lights
- The new exhaust, two-in-one (another RS detail)
- The much larger air intakes behind the doors, hmmm.. like those!!!
- The ceramic brakes

it alllook so awesome, can't wait to hear somemore details, but I recon we have to wait till mid 2008 before Audi will release some usefull details.

This was a little from my side, I will be happy to hear if someone out there have spotted something usefull concerning the coming RS8,R8S R8-RS or whatever the name will be.
