Anybody out there own a 2.8 with a manual 5 speed ? I know Audi started building the combo in 2000 and I wondered what your driving impressions are. I know the majority of the stick shifts are the 2.7T, but I like the naturally aspiriated model.

Try asking this question in the A4 forum since it's just about the engine/tranny combo. You might get an answer there. It's the most active forum here at AF.

I've driven the an A4 with the combo. My point was to find someone that had the heavier A6 body and get his /her impression of the seat-of-the-pants power to weight. Thanks.

There's only a 375 lb difference between the two models - all else being equal.

I have worked for Audi for 6 years now and I live about 2 minutes away from VW Canada I have only seen 1 5spd 2.8 in this time and i've seen a lot of A6's

I did think there was a bigger weight difference. Also sounds like these aren't big sellers and would probably be hen's teeth in the used car marketplace. I've had Audi turbo fives in the past and was just trying to cut down on the complexity a bit. Thanks for the advice guys.
