Do you have an aftermarket headunit? If so, try moving the ground around to see if you can get rid of the static at low volume. If not. you can always buy a signal booster - crutchfield.com has them.

Yea sounds like your power ac wire is jumping or tripping off one of the speaker wires. they mght just be like pinched really close together somewhere or something real dumb like that.

thanks for that idea im thinking who ever had the car before me had a nice system in it and had it taken out before he traded it in might be something small like that somewhere

Yes also buy a Ground Loop isolator for the radio. That will minimise ground noise also.

And looking back on your comment about previous owner having a nice system.
He might have had all the wires in and then hwen he took it out he yanked them all out with no care and pinched, crossed, cut, or disconnected some wires that you cant see running through the car.
Just another angle to look into.

yeah there are to cuts in the floorin the back seats can lift the carpitting up and see some wires, is there an easy was to take out the radio so i can get behind it to look at the wires and add a ground loop isolater or should i be looking in the doors to see how the connetions are to the speakers
