Hi
I took delivery of the RS4 6/29 @ about 5:30 PM and immediately left Portland. As of today I have racked up 1022 miles. Gone through almost a quart oil. Castrol 5-40 synthetic supplied by my salesman for the trip. My wife and I drove over Mt Hood via some well maintained forest service roads. It was a real good break in for the car. Made a top speed of about 130 and went through some very nice twister as if on rails. We then continued on into central Oregon, then from there west to the mid Oregon Coast ( Newport). From there north to Astoria with some stops in smaller towns along the route, then arriving back to Portland on Sunday evening.Love the sport mode! Tires are the Continentals, showing some wear already. I can't say enough about how much fun this rocket is to drive as I am sure you are allwell aware. My wife too enjoys it and is driving it much better then I had expected her to, although she needs a little more practice on rev matching on the downshift.
I have already registered for a Track day, Aug 2,at our local track, P.I.R. (http://webmail.aol.com/28363/aol/en-us/Mail/DisplayMessage.aspx#)Portland International Raceway. I hope to have at least 2500 miles on it before tracking it and an oil change. The salesmen and some of the techs at my dealership say that I don't need an oil change until 5K but I'm kind of old school and want fresh oil in before taking it on the track. Ihave 1 of my SD card slots full of my music and am enjoying the GPS Bose nav system. I have found it pretty user friendly. Getting about 14 mpg
Well enough out of me. But God that car is just the best thing I have ever driven and is a sleeper to boot.
Hope you and your familys had a great 4th.
