I recently purchased a 2005 A6 3.2. I love the car, but the wheels are covered with brake dust after only a couple days of driving. I've thought of upgrading to ceramic pads or similar. Has anyone solved this problem or can make a recommendation?

Hey there 05 quattro.........I am a member on a Jag forum as I also have a X type as well as a A6. As the brakes on the X are a weak point, most of the members have upgraded them using EBC redstuff pads as well as slotted / grooved rotors.
The Redstuff ceramics have amazing stopping properties and much less brake dust too.
Not sure if they offer them for the Audi, but you could always check.
If you do and decide to buy.......type in scooby58 at the checkout for a nice 15% discount.

What does tire jizz have to do with brake dust??

The tire dressing makes brake dust stick like crazy to the wheels.

Never heard of that one. The problem is the pads. Do you have any other suggestions??

Try purchasing Akebono Ceramic brake pads. I've read tons of reviews that they leave little to no dust and I will be switching to those.

Its true about the tyre dressing...I love it, just finishes off a nicely detailed car perfectly.
It does however, make the brake dust stick like sh*t to a blanket...lol

Upgrade your pads to EBC or Hawk. They are correct about the tire dressing. After I spray my wheels, I have a spray bottle with water and alcohol in it, I spray it on the rims and wipe them down with a terry cloth towel. It does a great job getting the tire dressing off!
