Has the blue pad replaced the Red finishing pad?

Red pad is technically softer than the blue pad, which at the moment is the softest Lake Country makes. From talking to Lake Country, they said applying an LSP product with a blue pad is just as effective as the red. The red pad has slightly more pours per inch, but you reach a point of diminishing return and the product just begins to soak into the pad more than is needed. Either the red or the blue are great pads for applying LSPs, we may stock the red pads at some point (and the other color is the green, which is between the white and orange pads).

Great question though.

So it's basically the same as the Edge Blue? I have & use the Green pad, with Menz 106, the combo seams to work really well with my Metabo rotary.

2k S4,

Yes, the blue LC pad is similar in characteristics to the blue Edge pad. I'll have to ask what the ppi is on the different LC pads next time I speak to them to see how close they compare. You were getting good results w/ the 106 and green Edge or Lake Country pads? Can't beat Menzerna 106ff, seems to be the premier finishing polish as of now.
