I have a 93 90 cs and its been giving me trouble starting. After sitting for 12+ hours it will crank and run fine but once its warmed up and i shut it off it wont crank back up untill its sat for another 12+ hours. its getting fuel and spark because it will turnover but not actually crank up and run. Someone mentioned it could be the camshaft position sensor. Any help with this?

Interesting problem.
There could be several issues at hand.
Timing belt.
Cam sensor.
Plugs.
Injectors.
What's the maintenance history to this date?

Well lets since ive had the car which i got it july 2003 ive replced to water pump the timing belt twice the idle air control valve both cv axles and a radiator hose.

Sounds like its within the fuel system. The fuel/air mixture is too rich maybe.

Not me, sorry. I'm not too familiar with your model.

If you still want to go the route of net chat to discover help, then consider audi-sport.net for an answer. The majority of the members there are located in England, but they have a deeper knowledge that includes early models. They have a "Misc. Audi Forum" that is fairly active (the latest post is dated April 4).
