Default Wheels (rims) for A6 2.8

Just purchased a 1999 A6 Quattro 2.8

Was wondering if the wheels on a A6 4.2 would fit or cause some problems with clearances etc. Has anyone ever put A6 4.2 rims on a A6 2.8

Let me know please virl@earthlink.net

I highly doubt they would have any fitment problems because the 4.2 rims are most likely the "premium" wheels which were probably available on the 2.8 as an option.

Thanks for the reply. My concern is that I believe the A6 4.2 Quattro didn't come out until 2000 and the fenders wells of that car had some flair in them over the standard A6 2.8 Quattro.

I know the S4 17x7.5 wheels will fit with no problems but he 4.2 wheels are a 17x8 whell size. Do you know of any source that has tried the. I't hate to buy a set and find out it did/t work.

Thanks Virl e-mail virl@earthlinknet or phone (425) 822-5050

Oh I'm in Bellevue, WA not afganistan How do I change that on my registration.
